A Romanticized American Tradition

We’ve been left with two options, cheap import junk from Walmart, or more expensive imports from REI. Either is usually used a couple times and left in the closet indefinitely. When did we lose the charm of gear from the gold old days that looked good and was built to last. Why did we forsake the classiness of British campaign kit. It’s time for glamping to grow up. Let’s lose the plastic and aluminum bits for wood and canvas. Pieces that live equally in the campsite as they do the living room. There’s nothing wrong with kit that you can leave to the kids, until it comes to the bottom line. We’d rather you just add to the collection as opposed to replacing that chair for the fifth time.
